Last Sunday saw the penultimate race in the Charles Stanley Westward Cross Country League held at Stover School Newton Abbott.
Strong winds and squally showers made for tough running conditions. However the challenging course saw some exciting racing.
Oliver Smart continued his dominance in the Under 17 category with another emphatic victory to remain undefeated in all races this season.
In the senior ladies race Rachael Malthouse once again led home the TRP team in 14 th position supported as always by Jennifer Sabine in 23rd and Emma Dooney in63rd. They have Ben stalwarts for the club in this first season of competition.
The final race of the day was the senior men and this was hotly contested as always.The TRP team packed strongly to win the team event and elevate themselves to second overall behind Cornwall AC with one race to go.
Individually Ben Neale led the team home in5th place closely persued by Jim Cole (6th) and JordanAndrews (7th).Completing the team was Chris Rimmer(14th) and Ed Smart(16th).This Group were supported by Craig Howels(54th)Lewis Mill(58th)and Matt Teague(64th).
This was an excellent performance with the Senior Men recording the best team performance of the season.
Other results saw Corin Russel Run 1hr 42min at the Exeter half marathon on Saturday in his first race in TRP colours.
