Last weekend saw tavistock run Project athletes take part in a number of diverse events .
Saturday was the first of the Burrator Noir series. This is a novel event comprising races of various distances taking place at night. TRP had three runners take part representing Tavy tri club and they were rewarded with podium finishes. Hannah Smith ran the 5k coming home 1st female in a time of 22mins; in the 10k , Cassie Mc dowall just six days after competing in half Ironman Marocco came 2nd in her age group finishing in 54 mins and finally Hannah Walters finished 2nd in her age group in the 10 mile race.
In his first term at university Charlie Gibbard ran the Oxford Mail cross country race at Bicester. Charlie ran strongly which bodes well for the Cornish champs this weekend.
Finally, Jo Arscott took part in the tough Cornish marathon on Sunday. This is a undulating energy sapping race and while writing this report results are not available Jo will no doubt perform well.
This week sees the second westward league x country at Newquay and TRP will hope to show well.
